Softronix'19 - Insights

What is Softronix?

Softronix is the trademark event of the IEEE GCU Student Branch and the main aim is to convene such events that provide students recreational activities as well as educational opportunities to enhance their innate skills. The main objectives of Softronix are:
  • To organize such events which promote and garner the interests of students in the field of IT and Tech and how they can be part of it.
  • To organize motivational and educational seminars for students.
  • To organize recreational events, in order to provide students a break and to enjoy university life.
  • To organize events that provide students the opportunity to understand and grasp professional practices currently being implemented in the industries.
Softronix’19 is the annual mega event of the IEEE-GCU Student Branch of the Department of Computer Science held annually at “Government College University Lahore”.
Though I was not the part of Softronix'19 I have seen the whole team working together as a family to make this event glorious. I attend some seminars at this event and saw some competitions.
The whole team was working for almost one month for this event and in my point-of-view, they got the expected results of their hard work. Every year the IEEE GCU Student Branch organizes the annual mega-event with the name Softronix, but I think Softronix'19 was bigger than previous ones.

That was the two-day event, hectic, but full of enjoyment, learning, and entertainment.
دو دن یونیورسٹی میں کافی رونق لگی رہی
This includes educational seminars and workshops like Python Workshop it was very fruitful for students because the future of Computer Science depends upon Python programming language. Also, it includes a freelancing seminar that includes some basics of freelancing for beginners.
Other seminars include Being a Tech-Girl, which was related to girls, I didn't even attend it because it was about girls 😂😂😂. And another seminar was conducted with the name Stress Relief Seminar. I think it was a good step by IEEE GCU Student Branch because depression has become the cause of young deaths.  Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry or nervous. Stress is your body's reaction to a challenge or demand. That's why young ones have got a lot of stress nowadays and they become depressed patients. It really affects their health, mentally and physically. When they can't overcome their depression, they really become mental and that causes death. So, whoever gave the idea of the Stress Relief Seminar is one who is really suffering from depression 😂😂😂😂.

OK, OK!! Just joking 😂😂. We should really appreciate that person 😘😘😘. It doesn't mean I am not a part of IEEE so I roast every person of IEEE. I am not here to roast the IEEE like Ducky Bhai:
😂😂😂😂😂-----"BLAH BLAH BLAH ناظرین یہ وہ بندہ ہے "
Sham Idress, Shahmeer Abbas, and many other YouTubers 😂😂😂😂. But in my point-of-view, roasting is compulsory in life because without roasting you can't identify your mistakes and can't move forward.
So, there were gaming competitions, which include PUBG PC, Call of Duty 4, Counter-Strike: GO, FIFA 19, TEKKEN 7,  etc. There were coding competitions for young programmers. Every student was given a problem statement which they have to solve and write their code in a given programming language.

IEEE is not only limited to Computer Science but it is also related to electronics, so it is the responsibility of this student body to conduct electronics competitions. Hence IEEE GCU Student Branch conducts the circuit designing competition for the students who are studying electronics and electrical engineering. Softronix'19 was not limited to GCU, Lahore students it was expanded all over Pakistan. So, every student from every institute can take part in any competition or in any seminar of Softronix'19.

We always say that:

پاکستان میں ٹیلنٹ کی کوئ کمی نہیں
Hence, Softronix'19 includes talent hunt competitions of different categories like singing, music, dancing, comedy, parody, acting, etc. In which different students from different institutions take part and show their talent and the best one got the prize. There were also social events like a scavenger hunt and eat n click, there were also carnival games. Carnival Games were conducted in the Bukhari Auditorium Lawn. That was full of enjoyment and entertainment.

All the team members contribute to Softonix'19. Photography, protocol, graphics, media, publicity, ambassadors, creative, etc.

So, what about the media and publicity teams, seriously, it was one of the best teams I have ever seen. Their work impressed every individual. They play an important role in the promotion of Softrnix'19. I am not the part of IEEE but I have to say that it was the best social media posting work. Both teams really work hard for the promotion and publicity of Softronix'19. Nowadays, the success of every company or event depends upon the advertisement, publicity, etc. I had roasted media and publicity teams many times because some of my friends were part of it. But I was making fun of them, it was not to hurt them. Hey media guys, I really like your work. Keep it up 😂😂😂.

Their major mistake was that there was a Sufi Night on the 2nd and last day, but it was canceled in the meantime due to uncertain reasons. It was a big loss for IEEE and students who bought the tickets for the Sufi Night. I really feel sorry for them 😂😂😂😂 because many people use false language for them. OK, OK!!!.
Sorry for roasting again 😂😂😂.

But it doesn't mean they failed to organize a successful event. I congratulate the whole team of IEEE and the adviser of the IEEE GCU Student Branch. Sir Syed Ali Raza on organizing such a great event. Especially executives of the IEEE who worked really hard and lead the extended team, which was comprised of a hundred plus students.

Hey, wait, there was a closing ceremony as well 😂😂😂😂. There was a cake cutting ceremony of the IEEE GCU Student Branch initially. Then prizes, shields, and certificates were distributed among students who participate in competitions and those who contributed to Softronix'19.
So, that is it I can write about Softronix'19 because I had not seen things perfectly as well as I was not part of Softronix'19. Isn't funny, I am saying again and again"I was not part of Softronix'19"😂😂😂😂😂.

By the way, I hope you guys will organize such great events like this in the coming future.

How Do Hospitals Prepare for Empty Beds Pandemic?

As the no. of coronavirus cases across the country rises, the number of beds available in hospitals dramatically falls. With an already dysfunctional healthcare system, Pakistan prepares for the worst as coronavirus peak seems imminent. At more than 96,000 cases confirmed so far, the number of total cases has already far exceeded China’s – the epicenter of the outbreak. There are already reports of some private hospitals turning away new coronavirus patients due to a shortage of beds. Government officials have repeatedly claimed that the situation is “under control”. However, top health officials across the country and beyond believe that the current health system simply lacks the infrastructure to handle the coming influx of patients. At this stage, no province possesses either the hospital beds or the ventilators required to take care of the ever-increasing coronavirus patients. However, many believe that the worst is yet to come. Qaisar Sajjad, the Pakistan Medical Association’s sec...

Short Courses Institutions Should Be Banned In the Lockdown

The Coronavirus has discarded all the academic activities for the students as well as for the educational institutions. Before the lockdown, students were busy in gaining knowledge in different institutions, like schools, universities, colleges, and training institutions. Well, I am not against these institutions, but on the other side, private training institutions are running their business by charging high fees from students but not giving the knowledge they want. This mafia brainwashes the students and asks them to go against the universities and colleges, which is unethical. The universities and colleges are very important for every person because they help the students groom physically, spiritually, and mentally. There is no comparison with the private training institutions mafia. On the other hand, private training mafia-like PNY Group of Companies, NexSkill, ZAFF Institute, EVS Institute , etc are playing with students' lives.  Okay, I don't talk about what he...
