GCU Lahore students collaborate with InstaCare : Fight Against COVID-19


Due to the sudden outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan announced the lockdown all over Pakistan to protect people from this deadly virus. But the number of patients is increasing day by day, and people will have to face difficulties in the treatment of Coronavirus in the hospital.
In this scenario, InstaCare comes up with a Telemedicine technology that provides free of cost health care facilities to patients at their home. To aware people of this tremendous technology, some proud students of GCU-ACM Student Chapter, an international level student body of a prestigious institution GC University, Lahore, are collaborating voluntarily with the InstaCare to create awareness about the prevention of Coronavirus and usage of Telemedicine Portal.
InstaCare is a private limited company, which uses a digital platform to bridge a patient with the right healthcare providers. Their focus is to improve the quality of the healthcare ecosystem by making it accessible and affordable for everyone.
InstaCare and members of the GCU-ACM Student Chapter established a Corona Response Unit (ICRU). This response unit provides, free of cost consultation related to Coronavirus. The members of the GCU-ACM Student Chapter are working out on connecting patients and doctors by training them about the InstaCare's Telemedicine Portal usage. In this time of crisis, both organizations are working voluntarily to serve the nation and helping patients by providing, free of cost health care facilities at their homes.
Founder & CEO of InstaCare, Mr. Bilal Amjad, who has been awarded as the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional, said in an interview that the InstaCare has on-boarded over 200 plus Doctors from Pakistan for an online checkup with the best Telemedicine system in Pakistan. With Telehealth checkup, patients don't need to visit the clinic or hospital, they can get consultation while staying at home. He also said that the InstaCare and members of the GCU-ACM Student Chapter are consistently working to create awareness about COVID-19 and to train the patients and doctors about the Telemedicine app.
